I am veering towards the Bouquet because of the tastes of the different techniques but there are pros and cons for both pieces!Jo who can't think of a clever nicknamehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02663450738390351663noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7213240850696097245.post-37903157055833876162017-08-10T07:15:41.361-04:002017-08-10T07:15:41.361-04:00What a nice dilemma to have. Whatever you don't learn in this phase (compared to the Bouquet) will probably be taught in other phases, so stitch what sings to your heart.Brenda M. I thought about for over 15 years before I took the plunge because money, space and time were less of an issue. I also started with bead embroidery first because it was more accessible. I have stitched both Hanazume and Bouquet and both are good. Hanazume is a better introduction but Bouquet prepares you better for following phases because it has a foundation for the flower paper and a cord. Hanazume took me 4 months to finish and Bouquet took me 15 months but I did do the old version without colour so there was more stitching to do. You will enjoy stitching both of them.Cathhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04534998852351018118noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7213240850696097245.post-76177282062353374312017-08-09T22:37:30.140-04:002017-08-09T22:37:30.140-04:00I would do the one I love. You will learn the other techniques at a later date so my vote is for the Hanazume.Beth in ILhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02756987828763179314noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7213240850696097245.post-76326741503177809242017-08-09T15:45:24.029-04:002017-08-09T15:45:24.029-04:00I'm so excited for you Dima! I'm lucky we have a large flat, I will need to put space on the list for the next place!<br />As a design, I prefer the first option, but maybe learning more stitches and techniques is a good thing for the next stages?Catherine - Hillview Embroideryhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00304961505122691043noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7213240850696097245.post-75820693438222904022017-08-09T15:39:26.614-04:002017-08-09T15:39:26.614-04:00That's exciting! Later on, once I've learned the techniques, I can always design something that suits my tastes.Jessica Grimmhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14746175320505677020noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7213240850696097245.post-81377515970153384992017-08-09T15:02:36.883-04:002017-08-09T15:02:36.883-04:00I sympathize, but I'm no good to you at all, I...I sympathize, but I'm no good to you at all, I'm afraid - I can't decide either!Rachelhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15322676800314521539noreply@blogger.com
