It's "From Time to Time", with Maggie Smith. One of the characters has to do an embroidery, using hair for threads, with hair(s) from everyone at the party, to solve a theft. They showed the finished framed embroidery, which is a picture of the house (castle) - for a brief moment I thought "I could do that", then I came to my senses.
