Small SAL - February

Second Small for the year. I'm sorry to say I didn't enjoy this pattern at all. The pattern is from a book called Biscornus et pique-aiguilles. My sister picked it out and it looked really nice in the picture, but when I took out the threads it looked kind of... too pink. That and the constant stitch and snip drove me crazy.

To be honest, it's not actually finished. There is still some back-stitch leaves to do, but I just don't want to work on it anymore. If I eventually try to finish it, I will definitely be changing the green thread. But I won't hold my breath.

P.S. Please don't think that the book isn't good. It has many cute patterns that I've been wanting to stitch. It's just unfortunate that the first one that I picked (actually I didn't really pick it) didn't turn out that great.

  2. It did come out very beautiful but I do see where pink and reds would be too much.

  3. It is really pretty design, I'm not really a pink person. Maybe changing colors scheme would be better next time.

  6. I think it's lovely, but I can see what you mean, I assume you kept stopping and starting threads so they wouldn't trail? You could make it into a biscornu as it is.
