I was invited back for another episode with Fiber Talk. This time, we spent the hour talking about all the projects I worked on since the last time we met. Most of these will be familiar, with a few you will not have seen on the blog yet. It was nice to catch up with Gary and Beth.

About a month ago, I was approached by Clair, the owner of le temps de broder. She was interested in writing an article about my embroidery. If you've never stumbled on her website, Clair offers a site where you can read articles, in French and English, on all things embroidery: exhibitions, ateliers, designers,... She also writes a series of portrait articles on embroidery artists and teachers. I was pleasantly surprised and delighted when she approached me, as I've seen the list of artists she had interviewed previously. You can find the interview here in English and French.
Clair not only writes articles, she also has a shop where she sells embroidery patterns that she translates to French, as well as a section where you can purchase one of a kind pieces of embroidery arts. For example, I've been eyeing the patterns by Masha Reprintseva. There is a lovely whitework design called Blanche Antiquité I'd love to stitch. Make sure to check out the available designs in both English and French as they are not the same.
No embroidery update from me this week. My friend recently bought a chalet in the Saguenay–Lac-Saint-Jean region (5 hour drive) and invited me for the weekend. We had really nice weather and went blueberry picking. The area is known for their delicious blueberries.
While I was there, I also taped a podcast with Fiber Talk where I shared some of the projects I've stitched over the years. If you've never heard of Fiber Talk, I definitely recommend you check them out. Hosted by Gary Parr and Beth Ellicott, it initially started as a podcast and now it also includes video chats on YouTube. They do three podcasts a week; one is an interview with a fiber artist/teacher/designer, the second is a mid-week chat and the third is a live show on Friday where they invite stitchers to showcase their work.
